I received my new little laser engraver last week, and I find it to be a very good little machine. It has the power to engrave stainless steel quite nicely; I haven’t experimented with other materials yet. At 40% power, it engraves about .030″ (0.76MM) deep red oak. I am using this to engrave on my wooden Native American style flutes and parts, engraving the Key Signature and my branding information into each flute, plus some graphics work as well.
Arrived perfectly without any parts missed, well protected, great packaging. Assemblage was simple. What I got was almost an assembled one. All of the tools needed were in the kit. I expected a lot of issues from reading the comments, however after building and running the machine, I am an expert now with the stainless engraving laser. This is with great design. Solid frame with a large working area.
Just remember eye protection when experimenting with LASER of this power and higher by wearing the Laser Safety googles that accompanies the machine. The laser marking machine for stainless steel was assembled and commissioned with no challenges. Not hard work but you need to have some mechanical and a little electrical knowledge. It helps.
